Age requirement:
- Junior Preschool (Jr Pre-K): Children must be 19 months on or before the first day of school. If your child is turning 19 months after the first day of school please put your child on the online waiting list or call the office at (403) 535-JOSO(5676) for availability.
- Preschool (Pre-K): Children must be 3 on or before Dec 31 of the school year.
- Junior Kindergarten (JK): Children must be 4 on or before March 1 of the school year.
- Kindergarten (JK/K): Children must be 4 on or before Sep 1 of the school year for the JK/K Advanced program OR 5 on or before March 1 of the school year for the Kindergarten program.
Other requirements:
- Children in Pre-K (3Y-4Y) must be toilet trained or progressing with training (they must be fully trained within 3 months of commencement, our staff will support you with training).
- Children in JK and Kindergarten must be toilet trained.
- Joso’s accept PUF students; however, we can only accommodate a maximum of 2 students per class with a classroom assistant. If your child requires a classroom assistant, please call Head Office at (403) 535-5676 for space availability.
- Due to ratios required by licensing, we are not able to accommodate a child who requires too much one on one attention. If after attending our school for a month, we determine that a child’s behaviour is having an effect on the class where the teachers are required to give too much one on one attention to the child, then the parents will be contacted to offer suggestions/resources for having the child attend an alternative program such as a parented program where the child can develop at their comfort level with parental guidance or a program with lower child to teacher ratios.
